John is a comedic writer and award-winning journalist with 13 years of experience in newspapers and radio.
He is interested in:
- Freelance journalism assignments
- Copy editing of journalism, business reports, university and college essays, or self-published novels
- Opportunities as a columnist or commentator.
John has been published in six Canadian publications, including the Ottawa Citizen, and his commentaries have been heard on seven different CBC programs, including Maritime Noon and National Commentary. He has also volunteered for MOTO magazine in Zimbabwe.
He has experience as an assistant editor, city hall reporter, humour columnist, radio commentator, book reviewer, copy editor, and marketing copywriter.
His writing has been honoured by the Atlantic Journalism Awards and the Radio-Television News Directors Association. Raised in New Brunswick, John is currently attending the Comedy: Writing and Performance program at Humber College in Toronto. |
