The Prince Albert Daily Herald, a busy, community-focused independent daily newspaper, is seeking an energetic and creative individual to join our team on a paid, eight-week summer internship.
If you're a journalism or communications student looking for a summer job in your field, or if you're a recent graduate looking for some work experience, or if you're just someone who can write and tell stories along with the best of them and are looking for the coolest summer job ever, we want to hear from you!

  • We need someone who is capable of writing at least two stories each day to deadline — this is a daily publication.
  • We also need someone who has the ability to take great photos to accompany their stories.
  • You will also help us post stories to our website and manage our social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
  • You will require a current driver's licence. Access to a reliable vehicle is considered a strong asset.
  • You will also need to be able to concentrate in a busy, fast-paced work environment.
  • Some journalism training or experience is considered an asset.

Interested individuals should apply by email. Along with a resume and cover letter stating you found this job on Jeff Gaulin's Journalism Board, please include writing and/or photography samples.
All applications will be treated confidentially.
We thank all applicants for their interest, but only those selected to continue in the selection process will be contacted.
Please send applications to:
