The National Post provides political and other news to the full network.
The Opportunity: The Simcoe Reformer is looking for a multimedia journalist who can deliver well-crafted news and feature stories and take photographs and video. Simcoe Reformer publishes daily online and twice a week in print. Coverage area includes Norfolk, Haldimand and parts of Oxford County.
What you’ll do: - Write and edit stories for print and our website.
- Shoot still photos, and occasionally shoot videos.
- Generate story/feature ideas.
- Engage in energetic use of social media.
- Will work closely with news team at the Brantford Expositor
Qualifications
Who you are: - Candidates should have a journalism degree or diploma.
- Experience in covering municipal government in an asset.
- Ability to edit videos using is an asset.
- Good knowledge of social media.
- A working knowledge of WordPress is also an asset.
- A reliable car and a valid driver's licence are needed. There will be weekend and evening shifts.
