Description
We are an award-winning community weekly newspaper serving the Grande Prairie region of northwestern Alberta. Recognized by the Alberta Weekly Newspaper Association for excellence in news, features and photography, Town & Country News is looking for a reporter that can deliver clean, compelling news and feature pieces under pressure.
We have an immediate opening for a reporter/photographer supported by the Local Journalism Initiative with a heart for rural civic journalism who can bring enthusiasm, accuracy, autonomy and integrity to our small newsroom.
Qualifications
You should have: - A track record in well-written, researched and clean copy
- The ability to produce work quickly, independently and on deadline
- Critical thinking skills and common sense
- Photography skills
- A laptop and reliable vehicle
Salary TBD dependent on experience. A health benefit plan is offered
