Bio: |
I am an ambitious and enthusiastic writer who is looking to create stories that will capture the readers' attention, and leave them well-informed on any given issue.
I have experience in researching and writing about a variety of topics, including politics, technology, business, and crime, and am eager to add more subjects to my writing portfolio.
I have experience in writing about environmental issues through a 6-month internship with a start-up news website called Global Green News, which was run by Alex Tyrell, the leader of the Quebec Green Party. There, I was able to write intriguing pieces about political and environmental issues, government policies, and eco-focused activities in communities. I had the privilege of interviewing several high-ranking officials in Green Parties across Canada and the world, including Sonia Furstenau, leader of the BC Green Party; Thomas Trappenberg, leader of the Nova Scotia Green Party; and Thomas Waitz, co-chair of the European Green Party.
My work in communications with the Quebec Community Groups Network has helped me learn about the political climate, culture, and systems of Quebec, and in Canada as a whole. Working alongside seasoned former journalists, I have also gained a knowledge of CP style writing. I am currently looking for freelance/part-time work. I take pride in my work, and always ensure that I deliver high-quality pieces of written work, no matter the subject, nor the timeline. |
